IF YOU ARE A WOMAN, THEN...

Que a Madame X é emblemática e causa um furacão onde passa já sabemos! Ainda assim, ela nunca perde a chance de soltar o verbo e expôr as "verdades secretas" quando tem a oportunidade, normalmente faz isso em grandes eventos, com maior aldiência e claro: para os presentes no ambiente, que sabem do que ela está falando e ficam de fuzilar a eterna "like a virgin".

Em 2016, no palco da premiação BILLBOARD, um dos eventos mais renomados da fonografia, e trouxe o tema MULHER/FEMINISMO.

Madonna tomou a atenção por suas palavras, e enquanto emocionava uma parte, deixava a outra enraivecida!

Para mim esse foi um dos textos mais poderosos que já li! Por isso mesmo faço questão de deixar a versão em inglês, para não perder nada do que foi dito. Todavia, em português, a menssagem continua fenomenal e devido a isso eu postarei as duas versões.

IF YOU ARE A WOMAN...

You are allowed to be pretty and cute and sexy, but don't act too smart, don't have an opinion.

You are allowed to be objectified by men and dress like a slut, but don't own your sluttiness.

And do not, i repeat DO NOT, share your own sexual fantasies with the world.

"Be what men want you to be."

 

But more importantly: BE WHAT WOMEN FEEL CONFORMABLE with you being around their men.
And finally, do not age, because to age is a sin. You will be criticized, you will be vilinfied and you will definitely not be playing on the radio.

I sad... wait a minute... isn't prince running around with fishnets and high heels and lipstick and his but hanging out? yes, he was!
but he was a man.
this was the first time i truly understood the women really didn't have the same freedom as men.
i remember feeling paralyzed.
it took me a while to put myself together and get on with creative life. to get on with my life. Camila Paglia, a famous feminist writer said that i set women back, by objectifying myself sexually.
oh, i though. So if you are a feminist, you don't have sexuality. you deny it.
So i say: FUCK IT!
I'm a different kind of feminist, I'm a bad feminist.
people say that i am controversial, but i think that the most controversial thing that i have ever done is to sticking around.
what i would like to say to all the women in here today is this:
women has been so oppressed for so long, they believe what men have to say about them, and they believe they have to back a man to get the job done.
and there are so many good men that we are backing, but not because they are men, because they worth it.
As women we have to start appreciating our own worth, and each others worth.

seek out strong women to be friends, to line yourself with, to learn from, to be inspired by, to collaborate with, to support, to be enlighten by.

 

As they said before: it is not too much about receiving this award, as it is having this opportunity to stand before you and really say: thank you, as a woman, as an artist, as a human, not only to the people who have loved and supported me along the way ( I'm seeing so many of you sitting in from of me right now), you have no idea how much your support means.
